I’m making sure my calendar is up to date, what weekend is Roux?

Roux is Sunday, July 9th and October 13-15, 2023.

Where’s the celebration happening?

We’re hosting events at some of our favorite places in our hometown of Portland, OR. Stay tuned!

Do you have a place to send virtual hugs and high fives? And also, questions?

High fives all around! The best place to reach us is hello@rouxportland.com; we try our best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

I’m setting an alarm to remind me to buy tickets! Can you please tell me when and where can they will be available for purchase?

We appreciate an organized human. All tickets will be available for purchase only on our website, www.rouxportland.com, 2023 launch dates coming soon!

Roux is focused on women, but can anyone come? Including my doggo?

The beauty of Roux is that it is a celebration for every human to attend. However, our events are structured to be uncensored, open conversations, and we recommend that our guests be no younger than 16 years old. And though we love our pets, unfortunately they are not allowed at our venues, unless they are licensed service animals.

How much are tickets? Asking for a friend.

We’re glad you’re such a good friend! Please let them know that our tickets are priced by event, with different pricing ranges for each event type. Our workshops range from $35 to $75 per workshop, panels are $25 to $60 per panel, our brunch is $65 per ticket and dinners are around $125 per ticket.

Do I need to borrow my sister’s office to print out my ticket?

While we definitely support visiting your sister, there isn’t a need to print out your receipt - we’ll have a guest list at each event to reference. Do make sure to bring your government ID with you to ensure you can enjoy the boozy beverages that will be provided!

Can I bring a group of 20 friends?

Now that’s a party! Given the intimate nature of our events, we do have a limit of 8 tickets purchased at one time to be able to give the opportunity to as many people as possible. Please send along an email to hello@rouxportland.com with your group request and we will be in touch to see what we might be able to accommodate!

I can’t decide which events to attend, can I buy a pass that gets me in to everything?

We’re biased, but we think we’d have a tough time deciding too. We are keeping tickets to be sold by event only. We do have plans for all access passes in the future!

I’ve never been to a panel discussion before, what are they all about?

Prepare yourself. Our panels are intimate ways to hear personal stories, ask important, intense, and uncensored questions and get honest, and sometimes hard to hear, answers. They’ll allow people to get real, be open, and make connections to help support change. So, make sure to bring your feelings and your heart, and we’ll provide the snacks and beverages.

When you say get your hands dirty at a workshop, what should I expect?

Just that! Our workshops are truly hands on, with a little instruction and story telling in-between. We’ll make sure to provide the appropriate clothing protection just in case a random food fight breaks out...or some flour goes astray.

For planning purposes, are your events ADA accessible?

100% yes! All of our event venues are ADA accessible.

Something came up unexpectedly, can I get a refund?

We know life happens, and though we cannot give refunds, we are able to transfer your tickets to someone else’s name up to 2 days before the event starts.

How do the scholarship tickets work? Do you offer discounts?

We are offering limited scholarship tickets for each event, please e-mail hello@rouxportland.com for more details.

When I’m a fan of something, I want the stories and behind the scenes of the brand. How do I stay connected with Roux?

Thank you for wanting to know more! We have a few different ways to stay in touch depending on how you take your news. You can sign up for our newsletter on www.rouxportland.com, or, see what’s happening in our world on Instagram (@rouxportland) and Facebook (@rouxportland)!

It’s important for me to feel a part of the community, does Roux support a cause?

We couldn’t agree more. We’re working closely with La Cocina, a nonprofit organization empowering entrepreneurship among women, immigrants and people of color to raise funds for their program through our month-long pop-up featuring products made by female food purveyors and artists. To learn more about their incredible story, click here.

Can you let me know how the events handle dietary restrictions?

We will try our best to have options for our vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore humans out there; but, a big part of the magic of Roux is allowing our talented chefs to do what they do best and allow them full creativite control of the menu, meaning our events are not catered to those with strict dietary restrictions.

Did we miss something? Want to say hi? Send us a note to hello@rouxportland.com.
